Spring Training is right around the corner once again and another season of FTD baseball is amongst us. General Manager's around the league have spent the past three months re-tooling their rosters to take steps forward from the 2023 season, but still there remain quite a few intriguing options on the free agent market.

Here are our top 30 remaining options on the market.

30. C Gary Sanchez

Look, there's really only two things that Sanchez does well and its hit the ball over the fence and throw out opposing base runners. He probably shouldn't be your starting catcher, but if you're in a hitter friendly environment then I think it could make some sense to sign Gary to a one year deal and let him rake.

29. C Omar Narvaez

If you're looking for a lefty bat that can hit right handed pitching, Narvaez is your guy. Probably better suited as a strong half of a platoon behind the plate or at DH, Narvaez is coming off a 1.8 WAR season with the Cubs in 2023.

28. 3B Brian Anderson

Brian Anderson is on the market after a disappointing career in Miami that was capped off with a dismal final season. Still, somebody should be willing to roll the dice with a minor league contract in hopes of rediscovering the magic that saw him produce 9.3 WAR from 2018-20.

27. RP Trevor Gott

Gott is coming off a pretty good run over the past five seasons with the San Francisco Giants. He produced 5.7 WAR over that span and would be an upgrade for numerous teams with their current bullpens. Given his demands for only a one year contract, he should have no problem landing a job before Spring Training.

26. RP Jose Alvarez

The lefty Alvarez got his first shot at a full time gig in a Major League bullpen since 2019 this past season with the Milwaukee Brewers and rewarded them by putting up a 1.4 WAR season. Still, the market doesn't seem to be buying what he produced. Given the demands for lefty options and, like Gott, Alvarez only seeking one year, I have to think he will latch on sooner rather than later.

25. RP Tyler Duffey

Another former San Francisco pen arm, another reliever seeking only a one year deal. Duffey sits in the mid 90's and has historically K'd north of 9 batters per 9 innings over his career. Again, Duffey would be a drastic upgrade for multiple teams in FTD and would be a valuable trade piece come the deadline.

24. OF Brian Goodwin

The lefty bat took advantage of his lone season in Yankee Stadium in 2023, producing nearly a 2.0 WAR season. Goodwin's probably best suited for fourth outfield duties and will have to come down on his multi year demands, but team's could do a lot worse than Goodwin as a bench option.

23. UTI Ehire Adrianza

After not appearing in the Majors in 2022, Adrianza bounced back in a big way to make the most of his limited opportunities with Milwaukee. A plus defender at each infield position, Adrianza is the perfect bench piece for a contending team.

22. SP Josh Lindblom

Lindblom revived his career a bit in 2023 in Yankee Stadium, of all places. He produced 1.8 WAR across 11 starts and 69.1 innings. A backend option, Lindblom did a good job over limiting the long ball and found strikeouts that we didn't know he could produce.

21. UTI Niko Goodrum

Our second utility man on this list, Goodrum had an impressive run with Boston before being shipped to the Dodgers at the trade deadline. He has been one of the best utility man across the league dating back to 2019 and, unlike Adrianza, can offer the ability to play in the outfield as well.

20. RP Jake Diekman

Our final reliever on this list, Diekman is an experienced option who is seeking a one year deal. One of the best in the league at retiring lefties, Diekman has spent the past 2.5 seasons in St. Louis where has has produced 2.3 WAR.

19. OF Jhenrry Moreno

Who? Moreno is a minor league free agent who was not offered a contract by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He can play all three outfield positions, has plus speed and a plus arm, and offers a league average potential bat. He struggles with lefties, but multiple teams have been hot after Moreno all season long and, if I had to predict, eventually it will take a Major League deal to get him to sign.

18. SP Sean Reid-Foley

Scouts love Reid-Foley, but he's never been able to put it together at the Major League level like everybody believes that he can. Injuries are always a concern, but a rebuilding team should find it easy to give Reid-Foley the two years he is seeking in an attempt to max out his value and profit in a few months.

17. 1B/3B Rio Ruiz

Ruiz is likely looking at a bench role as of this point, but there are plenty of teams who should make way for a lefty bat who has hit 68 home runs over the past three seasons.

16. 1B/3B Michael Chavis

If you're looking for a left handed corner infielder, then the previously mentioned Ruiz is your guy. If you're looking for the same type of guy except from the right side, then Chavis is your guy. Chavis is trying to cash in on a productive season with Miami in 2023 that saw him hit 21 home runs and an OPS north of .800.

15. 3B Gio Urshela

Urshela hasn't been able to replicate his 2020 season, but has remained a productive bat in the grand scheme of things. An easy bet to hit 15+ home runs, Urshela might be better served in a platoon role moving forward.

14. SP Corey Kluber

Kluber is in the twilight of his career, but given the recent rumors of his contract demands he is a perfectly affordable, and viable, backend option in the rotation. Kluber struggled after being moved to Milwaukee last season, but had put up 2.3 WAR across 19 starts while in Toronto previously.

13. OF Adam Eaton

If it feels like Adam Eaton has been around forever, well, it's because he has been. Now 35 and entering his 13th season in the bigs, Eaton still possesses one of the leagues best hit tools. He's played sparingly over the past two seasons in San Francisco, probably best now given his age, but when utilized correctly Eaton is still very effective.

12. 2B Isan Diaz

Diaz was a surprise non-tender from the Miami Marlins at the beginning of the offseason. Still only 27, Diaz possesses plus hit, power and eye tools but is limited defensively. I'm not sure Diaz is a 2B and an experiment in the outfield may prove beneficial.

11. OF Aristides Aquino

30+ home run power isn't easy to come by, but Aquino certainly has it and more. He hit 26 long balls in only 249 plate appearances in 2022 and another 31 last year in just 331 plate appearances. The question is, as it will always be with any ex Rockies bat, how much did Coors Field help these numbers?

10. SP Eduardo Rodriguez

The 30 year old Rodriguez experienced very good success from 2020-22 before struggling last season in the first half with Boston and mightily in the second half after a trade to the Texas Rangers. Still, the track record is more than solid and the asking price for a lefty who can eat innings in the middle or back of your rotation is more than fair.

9. C/DH Victor Caratini

Like Rodriguez, Caratini saw a bit of a drop off in production from his 2020-22 numbers in his final season in Cincinnati. He is still marketing himself as a catcher, but a shift to first base or as the DH would be best. Caratini has an above average eye and power, but a compensation attachment may be what is holding teams back from pursuing his services.

8. 2B Starlin Castro

In terms of pure production, Castro deserves to be higher on this list. Soon to be 34, Castro is coming off two seasons in Toronto which saw him put up a combined 6 WAR. He wasn't an analyst favorite during his last free agency, but Castro deserves the praise this go around.

7. SP Matthew Boyd

Perhaps its an omen that teams with Boyd in their rotation make the postseason and, often, have success while in it. Boyd took the Red Sox to the World Series in 2020 and 2021, winning the latter, before being traded to the Angels where he won the 2022 World Series. He had to settle for a one year contract last offseason where he latched on with the Twins to help with their memorable second half push into the 2023 postseason.

6. C Christian Vazquez

You don't often see catchers with this type of ability to call a game become available, let alone still be available this deep into the offseason. Vazquez was the backstop that guided those Red Sox pitching staffs to their postseason success and, in such a thin position, should be a top 12 catcher in the league.

5. C Willians Astudillo

Just as you don't find catchers with Vazquez's game calling ability become available, it is just as rare that you'll find a catcher with Astudillo's ability at the plate become available. Perhaps the single best bat to ball skills in the bigs, Astudillo combined his elite ball in play abilities with power last season muscling 28 home runs in his only season in Queens. A great locker room presence, it's a shock that Astudillo is still on the market.

4. OF Jason Martin

Martin was non-tendered last offseason by the Pittsburgh Pirates after tearing his PCL in September. He signed a minor league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks and appeared in 78 games for the parent club after rehabbing from injury. In those 335 plate appearances, Martin produced an OPS of .899 and OPS+ of 128. Still only 28, Martin was once again not offered arbitration despite a 2.2 WAR season.

3. SP Zach Davies

Davies has taken affordable one year contracts each of the past two offseason's, but isn't looking to settle this year. Since 2020, Davies has combined for 10.5 WAR and would easily be a mid rotation starter on contenders. Soon to be 31, Davies will benefit from having a plus infield defense behind him.

2. SS Adalberto Mondesi

Mondesi has yet to generate any type of market, which leads me to believe that a team will get a steal of a deal with whatever contract he ends up signing. Only 28, Mondesi has led the league in triples in four of the past five seasons and is consistently one of the top base stealers in the league. A switch hitter who plays plus defense at shortstop and showed more power than ever before in his career last season? Somebody pay this man.

1. CF Harrison Bader

Perhaps the best outfielder in the game currently, Bader has the highest floor of any free agent still on the market. Now 29 years old, you can rest assured that any commitment to Bader will see value brought back just on his defense alone. Add in the power he has displayed and above average base running and you've got an easy 3+ WAR per season player for his rumored demands of $9.5 million per season.
